Here to listen.  Here to help.

  • Do I need help and is therapy right for me?
We all have demands placed upon us. Life stress can take a toll on anyone and can lead to feeling overwhelmed or out of control. Many problems do not solve themselves. Why suffer unnecessarily? Untreated concerns may only get worse and cause further problems. If you are having difficulties at work, home, school, or in relationships then therapy may be a good choice. Asking for help is not selfish. We can’t expect to take care of others if we aren’t taking care of ourselves. Knowing when to seek help is a sign of strength.
  • How long are psychotherapy sessions?
Sessions are generally 45-50 minutes in length.
  • Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we accept most major insurance carriers and are on some Medicaid panels. Please call our office for a full list.
  • How much will it cost me?
Depends on your insurance benefits. Our office manager will gladly verify the amount you will pay prior to attending your first appointment. We also offer self-pay for clients who do not have insurance.
  • How often will I need to be seen?
Typically new patients are seen on a weekly basis so that the therapist can get to know you and start to get you feeling better.
  • How long will I need to be in therapy?
Each person and their struggles are unique. We try to tailor it to each person. Some patients do well with short term therapy whereas others may need more long term treatment. Overtime, sessions are generally reduced in frequency. For example, many patients come in once a month for maintenance.
  • What can I expect from therapy?
Typically, clients feel better about their situation and have some relief. Clients may worry less, not feel as sad, or even feel less irritable. Therapy offers a supportive, nonjudgmental person to talk to. Some clients develop problem solving, decision making , communication, or coping skills. Others gain a better quality of life, more confidence, learn how to improve relationships, and develop a better understanding and insight into themselves.
  • Do you prescribe medication?
No. We do not have any psychiatrists on our staff. However, we work closely with other physicians in the area and provide referrals if necessary.
  • What are your hours of operation?
Each providers schedule varies daily. All clients are seen by appointment only. We do offer after school, evening, and some Saturday appointments.
